Dr Gareth Rapson
I love sharing what I know and sharing your journey. I know that you can have the level of health and performance you desire, no matter what your circumstances are. I know that the solutions are simple, but that we could all benefit from a coach to help us connect the dots and do the things that are necessary to get there. I can be that person for you.
Today is the day to make a difference.
My life took a massive turn half way through my chiropractic degree, when I shattered my ankle playing rugby in 2005. I have spent the years since researching, experimenting and basically turning my life upside down figuring out what works and what doesn’t work in the world of health and sports.
I have a Bachelor of Chiropractic that took 5 years to complete and I now complete ongoing postgraduate studies every year.
I have experience with athletes from a range of sports such as martial arts, rugby, volleyball, netball, cricket, hockey, football and even ballet dancing to name a few. I have done this at all levels- from individuals and local high school teams to travelling with national and international teams.
I have been to the Commonwealth Games with the Cook Islands as well as working with the Counties Manukau netball team.
I love seeing people experience what is possible in their lives. I don’t think there should be anything stopping you from having a life you love. Nothing excites me more than creating a world where we are thriving not just surviving.
I am originally from the UK, having moved to New Zealand by myself in 2010. Since then, I have been working on creating a life I am passionate about and meeting Gareth really transformed my life and altered my perception of many things, especially my health.
At 23, I decided I wanted to be a ballerina (I know, a little late you say!) so I dedicated myself to my training (alongside a full time job and 3 fur babies) and now, a few years later, I’m keeping up with 14 year olds and dancing on stage in pointe shoes as well as preparing to sit my advanced foundation exam next year. I believe anything you want is possible and you can have it all; you just have to find a way to get there!
What I do
I am mostly the behind the scenes for the business, getting everything organised in the background so Gareth is free to focus on his clients. I also help out in the office from time to time so people will see me welcoming them in every now and again.
My Passion and Story
My experience with chiropractic care began two years ago when I had been dealing with sore aches and shin splints for over 5 years, and nothing ever helped. I met Gareth at a spinal screening and booked in to see him at the office and after my first visit and adjustment; I played a game of netball and had no pain! Ever since then I have never looked back. I now have my family enrolled and they see Dr. Gareth regularly. It is something I recommend to everyone!
I’m a mum to two beautiful children (Ariana 6 and Covyn 2) who keep me busy. I love playing netball for the Raiders Netball Club, I also enjoy playing tag, and I’ve found my new addiction, Crossfit, which I do regularly down at Hibiscus Coast Crossfit.
What I do
I have recently taken on the role of Chiropractic Assistant at Fusion Health and I love all the cool stuff I am learning about health and chiropractic that I can share with my friends and family. I love seeing our clients experience major changes and reach their potential and be able to do things they couldn’t before. I’m excited about the impact we are making on the community and that people are taking control of their health.
